Unpack theme archive and find the translation template file called levelup.pot in the levelup/languages folder. Open it with PoEdit and press “Create new translation” button

Select your language from drop-down and press OK (in our case it’s German)

So now we can make our translation. When translation is done save your .po file with appropriate locale name, for German it’s de_DE.po (to find your WP locale go here). In PoEdit menu select File > Save/Save as, it will generate automatically .mo file also.

Then you need upload both .po and .mo files to a server, where your site is located. You can do it using FTP connection or via File Manager of your hosting panel. Place them into wp-content/themes/levelup/languages folder.

When translation files are uploaded log in to your WP Dashboard and go to Settings > General > Site Language and choose your language and save changes
